Place of Worship:

 

• Franciscan Hermitage “The Celle”: Franciscan settlement founded in 1211 by the Saint himself, who returned in 1226 before dying, deeply restored in 1969. The complex, built on horseback of a narrow valley, is very suggestive for the amenity and the spirituality of the place. The dwellings of the friars and the local conventuals are arranged “by step” on both sides of the valley. Easily accessible and beautiful to visit.
• Basilica of S. Margherita: Sanctuary dedicated to the figure of Saint Margaret, patron saint of Cortona and Franciscan Tertiary. The building rises at the top of the hill of Cortona, just below the fortress of Girifalco (you can see both buildings from the garden by the pool)

• Diocean Museum of Cortona: situated in Piazza del Duomo 1, in the former Church of Jesus, collects works and works of art from churches of the territory and the properties of the diocences. .
